Transfer case problems
I posted earlier about my 03 Silverado 2500HD whining. After finding the pump in pump in the transfer case was bad I thought I found it. The transfer case now has all new bearings, seals, fork inserts...

I was taught to never replace one case half on anything. Case halfs are machined and bored in pairs. Much like trying to replace one main cap on an engine. Maybe they were right?
I am on the same page as you ! The noise is louder in the rear case and all my problems started when I did this.
