Mine usually runs between 202 and 210.
The measurement is displayed on a digital display and does respond to activity. It is generated by the same transducer the scan guage reads. How accurate it is I don't know.
As a direct answer to the OPs question on HIS model truck I agree with the above. We have a digital display on the cluster and can switch to the tranny temp. at any time. During long pulls or when maneuvering while parking the camper, I have not seen anything above 207 degrees on mine. Normally, while towing the 5er down the highway in 5th or 6th, even in 100 degree days, I rarely see the tranny temp above 203 deg.
Also, thanks to Tystevens, Milo and of course,Flapper for contributing to this thread with the same kind of trucks to compare with and reconfirming what we all are seeing.
