Mark Kovalsky, I agree with you. I have run a Chevy 2500 HD with an Allison for 110 K and never changed it and it has run 350 up Mountain Passes in CO and NM. I have a transmission guy who says, when you are ready to change it, pull the plug, let it drain and put on a new filter, filled with transmission fluid. After the 3rd change you will have changed all the fluid. He uses Blackstone Labs test each time and assures me of the reliability after 50 years in the business. By the way, Blackstone told me to extend my oil changes to 40,000 miles on my Duramax also. I have an in dash as well as a tested temp gauge mounted on top of my dash and the in dash reads 20 degrees hotter.
Driving changes people. Everybody on the road today is a regular Dr Jekyll and Mr Goodwrench.
