Travel in mountains question.

I am looking at planning a 20 day trip next summer and wanted to get some info from people who have taken their TT throught the mountains. I am looking to go from Mt. Rushmore to Glacier National Park back to Old Faithful. I have a 29' 8k loaded Keystone Sprinter, how tough would it be to make that trip. I'd be pulling with an F-250 6.7 PSD. Thanks for any info you can give.

No worries, sit back, relax, and enjoy. You have plenty of truck for that trip.

Take your time and watch your brakes; other than that, no problem.
  • Get Mountain Directory West. I remember one very long hill to Rushmore but not that steep. By the end of the trip you will be giving others advise on how to deal with hills/mountains.
  • I don't think you'll have a problem with a 250 diesel.

We did the mt rushmore trip in our gas truck towing a 6500 TT and I don't recall the hills being too bad. Glacier will probably be a lot more but remember there are lot of flatlands between all the places mentioned.
