Sadly there are no longer any large SUV's capable of towing a large heavy RV trailer. With the demise of the Excursion and the 2500 Burb the 1/2 ton SUV's left are no longer capable of towing 7K dry trailers.
A few years ago I towed a 10K loaded TT with a PSD Excursion it was a great combo
unfortunately since 3/4 ton SUV's are no longer being made options are limited.
A family looking to tow a heavy trailer with a new vehicle will have to go to a 3/4 ton passenger van to get the job done.
There are used 3/4 ton SUV's capable of towing a large heavy trailer but every year the supply dwindles.
