Travel Trailer Accessories

We are getting a 26 ft. travel trailer the end of the month. What suggestions does anyone have of "must have" accessories. We know the typical items like leveling chocks, jack pads, drinking hose and a trailer level gauge but it there any other things that are absolutely a must have.

This would be my first high dollar investment.
If you have ST tires #2 would be a TPMS.
  • so hang a clip board by the door and have fun, even when you get in a tight spot keep your cool. its all part of camping.
  • Agree with everything mentioned. Plus extra fuses (HF sells a whole assortment cheap), step ladder, floorjack, extra propane, tools has been metioned but you can never have too many, 2x8x12' blocks for leveling, water filter, electrical protection device for badly wired pedestals, extra spare tire.
there is a checklist in the thread below. Many items may not be needed but never hurts to look.

  • I carry a full toolbox under the bed in my travel trailer, and the only thing I've needed from it since 2013 has been the screw driver. Of course, if I took it out, then I would need a bunch of stuff.

x2 for midnightsadie's recommendation, the stuff needed to change a tire. Don't bother with your truck's jack, get a good quality bottle jack or if you have the room, one of those dolly / floor jacks. Also get a long breaker bar with the right size socket for your lug nuts, and leave it in the basement storage with the jack.
  • roll duck tape,,volt meter, thingd needed to change a flat tire, and a cerdit card.
