Travel trailer covering when parked at home

We just bought a 2011 Coachmen 24RBS and plan to park it in our driveway over the winter and in between use during the traveling part of the year. We have a lot of tall white pine trees that drop a lot of needles. What do you suggest as a reasonable cost covering that will keep the roof clear and yet "breathe" so not to cause moisture issues?

I don't like covers, because they're hard to put on and then have to find a place to store it while using the camper... I tried a cover on my TC and it didn't last 2 years... Wind will destroy them and so will sharp edges!

So, here's a picture of what I did for my TC & pontoon!... I'm ordering another one for my 31' TT.

The price was $1,600 after tax and free installation!... I plan to buy more metal to add to the sides when I order the other one for my TT... This will last a lifetime!

CaveRun, that's a great looking covering. Where did you buy it? Is it a local company, or was it shipped to you?

Well, I sure wouldn't park a TT under the pine trees even if I did have a cover that fit over it.

I wouldn't want the pine needles on the cover, and I would have to get up there and sweep them off!

Amazon has some nice Camco covers and the price is great with free shipping!

  • Agree! Adco cover. You'll pay a LOT more than a blue plastic tarp, but they are designed for RV's.
  • Adco Designer series. Don't buy something cheap to protect an RV that you've paid thousands for. I let mine go with the last trailer I had and just got the new Adco for our new trailer.
