Travel Trailer for one, full time living under 16ft.

Hello all! I am looking for a the best travel trailer for full time living under 15ft. I love small spaces so no worries there and and am every bit a minimalist. But I want all the features of a large trailer on a small scale with good lasting quality. I have searched countless brands and have yet to find any model thats would accommodate me. I need a good dc fridge, proper solar (something beyond a trickle), a good clean generator, a shower (not for full time), microwave, stove, sink, DEEP cell battery, separate toilet from shower (asking too much?), good black water - grey water - storage, twin bed only (that might make it easier) if there were one, no room for guests, and maximized storage (just a mini closet please). I am willing to upgrade solar on my own but seriously where is this trailer? I can't be the only one to look for it? Im not cheap and know what I want but is it out there??

  • There were a few 14 foot trailers when we were looking. Escape, Scotsman and Ameri-lite are all nearly identical in floor plan. All have most of what you are asking for but small is small. Tank sizes were one of the things that kept us from getting them. Solar can be added by the dealer or you could do it. A portable might be usable too. Same with the generator but these usually have a window type of air conditioner, so you could use a smaller inverter generator.

Here is a link to the Ameri-lite version. click

What do you plan on towing with and how/ where will you be camping?

I'm picking mine up in mid July. Brad builds 30 or so per year, each individually tailored to the customer. Get on 2015's build list...rent until then.

they are guilty of the primary thing that pos me about these sites, absolutely no floor plans shown.

  • If you are looking for a TT with all of that already, I don't think you are going to find it.

There are very fully function small TT's out there (I was looking for one last year). They won't be cheap, or likely easy to find.

However, you are going to need to set-up yourself with after market stuff to meet all your needs, notably the SOLAR, battery(ies?) and generator (small honda should do it). I doubt you'll find a small trailer that size with a microwave either.

Should be plenty of great ideas floating around on tiny living websites to help get those needs met in small spaces, but it might take creative engineering on your part.
