We have a Champion 4000W/3000W generator. I know its not the quietest around but where we use it no one is going to complain (Walmart PL and boon docking alone). It works great, easy to start, etc. It runs the A/C and micro (not at same time) but we just shut off the A/C during breakfast, lunch and dinner if we are using the micro. Just make sure you give 5 minutes for the compressor in the A/C time to bleed the pressure off before restarting.
I also have a 15K, Carrier Low Profile, but am currently using a Honda EV4010 RV generator that I put in my truck. It is 213 lbs. however. We planned on installing it in the TT permanently, but keep going back and forth on the 2000 + companion. What temps are you running your 15K in? I see you are in Texas. I am in Arizona and need it to run in 110* heat a couple weekends a year.
I have read online that people have paralleled different sizes of genny's. I was thinking a 3K and a 2K if that really is no issue. As for the Freq match, I'm sure that is a non issue, but they would possibly be unevenly loaded. I like the Idea of having the 2K when I only need that, the 3K when I only need that, and the total of 5K if It is really freaking hot.
