Here is a dumb question. Are most larger travel trailer hitch heights higher than 17.5"? I have a Silverado with a WDH that has the extra drop shank on it so no holes towards the top of the shank. ...

"in general", it seems to be about 18" for 'most' tongues.
This is my current 'drop hitch' setup.. It's set for an 18" tongue height and I'm on the lowest hole in the 'down' position.
If I had one of those trailers that have a really tall tongue height, I could flip the shank and mount the head a lot higher..
