Here is a dumb question. Are most larger travel trailer hitch heights higher than 17.5"? I have a Silverado with a WDH that has the extra drop shank on it so no holes towards the top of the shank. ...

Height of my hitch is about 22" on my TT & I have a similar shank. Receiver height on the truck is about 16". I have the shank up rather than down. Works fine.
