Picked up new trailer yesterday. Really like it other than the 7-8 mpgs I got yesterday pulling it home in a stiff head-on wind. After looking at the new camper tongue and my current hitch setup what I had was all sorts of wrong for the new camper. Hitch height on new was 21" so my shank wouldn't work. After they weighed the tongue with the 2-30# propane cylinders and battery that yielded a 925# tongue weight. My current 600# bars weren't gonna take that. So after pricing new bars and shank it was cheaper for me to trade in current setup and they installed a Reese Pro Series with 1200# bars and the right shank for $400 installed. Seemed foolish of me if I would have bought a $26,000 camper and just pieced together a hitch system so I got the right one installed. I think I made the right choice. Now I just need to decide if I am going to run or replace the Akuret tires that came on it. Never even heard of that brand.
