As a Texan who is active military, has Texas as home of residence, but lives out of state this will be a real pain. We don't go home every year. Hopefully they will be able to make an exception for those who are residents but don't live there or aren't in Texas. I really don't want to get new tags on TT (and every other motor vehicle I own).
I can understand the background, I am just hoping there are exceptions to the rule.
