Personally, don't think there is anything to be gained by threatening Social Media. For whatever reason, the seller/dealer decided to enforce his part of the deal. It's not his fault that the buyer/OP had to back out. IMHO, taking the higher road and thinking further along to another purchase at another time and parting ways peacefully would be best. Granted, the dealer would have made a much happier future customer by refunding, but a contract is a contract. The OP's $$$$ is still there for a future purchase and it would be foolish to totally throw it away. He apparently felt good enough about the dealer to enter into the contract to begin with. IMHO, this isn't a case of getting the short end of a deal but rather holding up your end of the contract. I feel badly for the OP, but sometimes life's lessons have a high price tag. I hope they'll take advantage of the deposit in the future and get out there enjoying their trailer. The OP sounds like he's aware of more sides of this than when he first posted. Rather than keeping the wound open, some encouragement for a future experience would be more helpful.
