OP: I still think you should consider a tear drop though. Definitely "Small", definitely minimalist, but definitely something affordable and you can to easy with your current vehicle.
And yes ... I'm a 1 ton enthusiast! But like the previous poster said... we started small ... actually ... a tent and the back of a Chevy S-10 pick-up truck. Then a mini-van and a pop-up! Affordable ... yes! Towable... yes ... did we have as much fun as the 1 ton's out there! Absolutely!
