Look at a 16' or 17' SCAMP or CASITA. they are all fiberglass, light weight, and have a rounded shape that tows easily. They are also pretty bulletproof and hold their value well, so expect to pay a lot for a used one, or buy a new one knowing that you can sell it for a good penny when you are done. We had a Honda Pilot with the towing package. Getting a towing package added to the MDX will be a bit of cash - transmission cooler and brake controller and hitch - but do-able. I believe the Acura MDX bumps up to 5000 lbs when set up correctly for towing.
