Depending on your cat, you might have a challenge on your hands hitting the road with a cat that may or may not like hitting the road. One poster mentioned a litter box. That's a good start. I hope to train our cat to go with us; so far I'm only getting her used to riding in the pickup. When I get ready to try "Camp Driveway" with the cat, I'll get a litter box-sized tupperware container so when we do hit the road the litter won't get scattered all over the trailer going down the road. :E
