Because the compromises of what the current TV can tow do not make sense for most people considering traveling tens of thousands of miles across the country. Weekender for <500 miles round trip? Sure, try it out and decide how well it does. No one needs a brand new $60k TV and $20k TT. The MDX is worth maybe $10-15k. Lots of used vehicles that are far more capable with regards to towing anything high walled.
To the One-Ton crowd: doesn't it make sense to introduce new RVers to our hobby in an "easy" and cost effective manner
RVing would be more than a hobby for OP. They will live in it for months at a time.
