Travel Trailer Tilt

When backing into my driveway, 2 of my wheels end up in the yard for about 30 feet as I'm backing up. The driveway sits 3 inches above the ground causing the trailer to tilt quite a bit as I'm backing in. I'm always worried as I back in because the tilt is quite a bit. How far can a travel trailer be tilted before it becomes a real problem?

  • As far as tipping i would guess at least 45 degrees but well before that cabinets will be opening and tires de beading.

For daily use I would think a surface 8-10" lower on one side than the other is no problem.

Reminds me of seeing a picture in the sixties of British double decker buses being displayed on a 45 degree angle to reassure the public that they will not tip over.
