Travel trailer tires

We will be traveling to southern Michigan next weekend to bring back a 27 foot 2003 Layton Scout Series travel trailer we are obtaining from my sister. Her husband recently passed away and she is needing it moved from the campground where they have enjoyed it for the last 11 years. She is unable to find the manual and my husband is wanting to know the tire size and bolt pattern for this particular trailer. We assume the tires are no doubt weather checked and would like spares to take with us before trailing it home, a distance of 200 miles! Any help or links would be much appreciated!

  • chances are good that you will need new tires, and definitely recomended. Having said that, I kept inner-tube type tires on a lite utility trailer for over 25 years w/o problems. Just saying it might be possible to drive slow and make it home IF the tires will hold air overnite. Good luck!
  • Just call the campground and have someone tell you the tire size on the side wall...

Then go to e trailer and look it up.. They will offer tire and rim packages, but you can just get the specs when you get the tire size..

Then go to say tractor supply or a RV dealer to buy the tires..
