I have a 1 yr old 26' travel trailer with 75 R14's (dual axel). They seem small (and low end). I want to upgrade to R15's. What is considered the best travel trailer tire?

they all will blowout if you have too much weight on them. I bought g rated tires after blowing out about 12 tires. got tired of having blowouts every time we went camping. I finally talked to a friend in the tire business and told him to put 15's on and get rid of the 14's and use a G rated tire. no blow outs so far after 4 years. just make sure you have plenty of room in the tire well

Goodyear Endurance, Carlisle HD, and Maxxis have all been Forum favorites for ST tires. If you have the clearance and can get the right offset rims, LT tires remove a lot of headaches.

Switch to 205-75r 15. only an inch bigger OD than the 14's

In the ST205/75R14 size the Carlisle is available in both load range C and load range D so you want to make sure you bought the latter. Just be aware also that the Carlisle's sidewall isn't anywhere near as stiff as the Goodyear's and not nearly as resistant to scuffs & punctures.

Yes, i would just upgrade to a 14" D, read the specs on the tires .Find out from the mfg using your vin# what your axle is rated for. I don't think it's necessary to spend the money on new wheels.

Carlisle new HD would be a good choice but has been out just over 3 years. The HD wasn't available till sept 2016....about the same time frame as Goodyears Endurance in Jan 2017.

Now the Carlisle RH series first came out in early 2013...all per Carlisle ad Goodyears advertising.

I would go with the Carlisle HD's. Had them on our old TT. They are a solid tire, they've been out for about 6 or 7 years now. I haven't heard one person complain about them. If you can get a D rate 14" that is what I would go with.

Unless your putting 12k-15k mile a year on the trailer I would use them the first year. Then sell them on CL and use that monies to help buy a better quality tire.

Just purchased Embrace 27bh. The tires are trailer king RST ST255/75R15 D. Anyone have any experience with this tire? Should I just upgrade to the GoodYear Endurance?

Moving up to a 15" wheel is a great upgrade on a trailer. This allows the use of a LT tire. You can expect 7-9 years and 45k-50k plus trouble free miles for those that see a lot of miles per year.
Many usa tire mfg has a LT235/75-15 C at 1980 lbs capacity.
A other experienced members posted Goodyear Wrangler HT in a LT215/85-15 D at 2090 lbs capacity make a great tire for trailer use.

Looking around the net at all the different non rv trailering forums the Providers ST class tires from Taskmaster stands out for service trailers of all sizes. They're the new gen higher speed rated ST tires and have been on the market for over 10 years now. Their also OEM on certain brand larger model 5th wheel trailers now.

For most rv trailer owners the Carlisle HD and Goodyears Endurance are popular on rv websites with TT owners. Both are new and came out around Jan, 2017. After 4-5 years of service and hopefully 25k-28k miles can be expected with only 8/32nd of tread depth. So far no usual ST tire issues with either.
Looks all three brands above are winners without the usual ST issues.

I frequent several rv and non rv forums where some type of trailers are used. My recommendations come from those many websites and not just a couple of rv trailer forums.

Nonsense. I happen to own a Coachmen Freedom Express and most models in the lineup all the way up to the 292BHDSLE have the same tires my much smaller 192RBS has - ST205/75 R14. Only the really large FE models, starting with the 293RLDSLE which measures a whopping 35' 11", have 15" tires. No doubt examination of other products in other Coachmen lineups and other products from other manufacturers would reveal the same. If anything the ST205/75 R14 size is one of the most common sizes used on many travel trailers these days.

:h. I have 1998 25ft TT came 14 in tires so they did. And New TT all seem to have larger tires/wheels nowadays
