  • With the proper hitch setup and staying within all your tow numbers you will be just fine. I towed my 33.5 ft'er with an f150 without issue of fishtail/sway. I did not, however enjoy the big hills towing with a gas motor. A lot of strain. Would be much the same with a 250/2500 gasser. My diesel 250 just made for a more relaxing towing experience. If the folks on here had their way we would all be towing with hdts/big rigs.

You can tow a long trailer with your 1500, to answer your question.

By fish tailing, I assume you mean trailer sway? It probably wouldn't be any worse than another overloaded 1/2 ton truck.

A +30 feet trailer will most likely be too much for any 1/2 ton.

    X 2

What you can "carry" & what you can "pull" are two different things.
