What you have described is what I, personally, consider the max for MY truck. I have a 17 F-150 w/3.5l EB and max tow package. I won't give you the tow rating because I consider it meaningless, but I have a payload rating of 1895#.
Taking 400# for us, and 200# for the topper I had put on, that leaves me 1295# as usable payload. When camping, I figure I have an additional 200# of stuff in the bed of the truck, leaving me 1095# of available payload, aka tongue weight. When I divide 1095# of tongue weight by 15% (I calculate conservatively, then if I go over a little, I don't worry) I get 7300# as a theoretical max trailer GVWR. You are right there with your trailer.
