Small to medium sized toy haulers generally do not have slides because they need the interior space for their toy. We have a 20 foot toy hauler that is like a regular trailer when is put back to normal. We no longer haul a motorcycle and have opted to keep it because it works so well for the two of us and our dog. When we stop for an overnighter at a Cracker Barrel we don't have to deploy slides. We just get in the trailer and enjoy.
I use my small Cherokee TH the same way. Works great for the 3 Collies and myself. I'm in the process of replacing the floor in the slideout of the Wildwood 26bhss because of a leak.
