Traveling northern Michigan over to Minnesotta

Have a question, How is traveling on HWY 2 top of Michigan over to Minnesota. I am thinking about coming back this way after a wedding in Grand Rapids Mn. Don't know if there are places to overnight a...

Why 2 is a very nice road and very scenic. I travel it every. A good portion of it right along Lake Michigan and it quite often can be pretty windy if that is at all a concern to you.
