- sgip2000ExplorerIf you're traveling a long distance without stopping and only have a 2-way refrigerator, how else are you going to keep it cold?
- DutchmenSportExplorerI'm pretty sure the "legality" of it has been research to death, especially on these forums. And in all the years I've been reading these forums, no one has been able to verifiable cite a law stating that you can't run a propane refrigerator while traveling down the road. (Fueling at gas stations is a different subject completely, and leaving propane tanks turned on in some tunnels in the USA).
There are those who argue from common sense perspectives (on both sides of the fence), but an actual 'Law'??? I don't think any exist. If so, I'd sure like to see it!
Edit:
I do it. - korbeExplorer

Thanks,
Yes you can.
No it isn't.
Almost everybody.
:C - old_guyExplorerrv experts like rv education 101 people or the rv DR advise against it. As a firefighter for many years I have fought many fires on the freeways and at gas station because of people who use the frig with gas on. You do what you want to but I hope we aren't next to each other at the gas station.
- stevemorrisExplorerwe always travel with the propane fridge on
we were asked to turn it off once, on a ferry across the st Lawrence river near montreal - gboppExplorer

Thanks,
Must turn off propane at a few tunnels, most ferries, and a few do while filling with fuel.- toedtoesExplorer IIIUnless you are at a specific place that has posting that the propane must be shut off, then there is no regulation against it.
Beyond that, do what you're comfortable with and ignore the comments of others. - stickdogExplorerHe read it on the internet, it must be true.
