No - just because, and just to be different.
We are always plugged in at home during the season (on dedicated RV outlet). The CG we are normally at is only 1/2 hour away and the fridge stays plenty cold on the way there.
We left our propane on once while parked at home but forgot to turn the furnace to the OFF position and the tank (or was is two?) got emptied because it was cold out and the furnace kept running. We now habitually turn the propane off at our CG and back on again when we get to the CG. No longer have to worry about accidentally leaving the furnace on or a potential fire.
For long trips, there is no choice but to travel with the fridge on. I'd rather not though and this video is why. Up in flames in just seconds. I recall reading that the fire was thought to have started at the fridge.
