Because when you are towing, there is the action of the wind inside the burner (negative or positive pressure) that potentially could do something. Not the same as when standing still when parked...
It's all moot anyway, in the end we all do what we feel comfortable with. Some won't use 2 6v batteries because "what if one fails?" Or public wifi because it's "insecure." Ah well... such is life.
