Traveling with the propane on.

We have always had a refrigerator that ran on 12vdc as well as propane and 120vac. The new camper refrig uses only propane or 120vac.
Do you run with the propane on so the refrig stays cool or turn it off and not worry about food getting hot?

    Yea, what he said.

  • Absolutely ON. There are a few tunnels, mostly on the east coast, where you need to shut the propane off, but it's a very small number of places. If you're traveling that way, you could look it up, but ordinarily not a problem at all.

BTW, LOVE the frozen tundra! Go Pack!
  • I travel with it on, and like Old Biscuit mentions, get ready for the ride of your life if you leave your propane on while traveling you will cause an explosion the likes of Hiroshima....
  • YES to propane ON

Designed to be operated while traveling on propane.
