Just curious about how much propane the fridge uses. I've never even had mine on propane, so honestly I don't even know if it works.
We've always used coolers when traveling(until the fridge cools down) and when it's at the seasonal site we keep it plugged in to shore power once. If it's already cold I'm assuming it takes less propane to cool it down than to keep it cool.
I guess I should take advantage of that feature, but I just never have. We're going to take a 6 day trip here in a couple days so maybe I'll see how it works.
It uses very little propane. It depends on the type of fridge. The old ones kept a pilot light going all the time. The new ones have a circuit board in them that shuts the propane off and then re-lites the flame when needed.( You will need 12 volt currant to keep this type going) Even when lit it is a very small flame. Love mine, works quite well.
