If all fifth wheel trailers pull perfectly, why is there such a market for high dollar upgraded hitches for them? Look up "Chucking". It will mostly be mentioned in the fifth wheel section. Good catch on the "most bang for the buck" mention. Due to the simpler and therefore less expensive framing and wasted high ceiling space, the TT is a more cost effective design.
As far as towing, why is it that most people realize the benefits of heavy duty models for fifth wheels but try to get by with a lightweight version for their travel trailers? A heavy duty model will eliminate most complaints that people have with towing their travel trailers.
