Tricks for keeping restless passenger happy while towing?

We stop at a rest area or somewhere every 2 hours on the road. We also make a ten hour trip in 2 or 3 days. Ten hours on the road for us is too fatiguing, LOL. My cousin use to do long trips and he ended up in the hospital with a blood clot in both legs. Last year our friend driving from Southern California to Oregon ended up with a blood clot. Now he does the trip a 2 days, not one day like he use to.
