Welcome to BC Canada. I live in a small town called Powell River. It’s just east of comox on the mainland. We are isolated though and require a ferry to leave this place. The beauty of a truck camper is yes you are only paying for 26’. If you were towing you would be paying well over 200 dollars. The crapy part for us is we pay in Canadian funds where as your nice American dollar is like a 1.25. So at 136 bucks you are still far ahead of us canucks :). Yup, gas around Byers is highway robbery, no matter who’s dollar you use! Glad to hear you enjoyed our end of the world and unfortunate you came while it was in a rainy spell. We just came out of a massive dry spell. Vancouver Island is a beautiful place for sure.
