Steve, could you share a little more on crossing under) the English Channel. Do you stay in your truck during the crossing, how long does it take, how much does it cost? Things like that...I hope you might have a few pictures.
I have taken our truck campers on many Ferries. In 1970 a 2 1/2 hour ride from the North Carolina's Outer Banks, Okracoke to Ceder Point. That was a fun trip, all 3 of our kids were young and enjoyed it... we were out of sight of land (The pilot had to go all over the water to miss the sandbars that a big storm had piled up. The bay of Fundy... Digby to St John. And about 10 Ferries just this year.
And of course we have done a few tunnels under water... like the Chesapeke Bay Bridge Tunnels.
I think that my only chance to ever take a truck camper on a train through a tunnel... is through your eyes, your thoughts, and your narriaive.
I feel as though I was with you as I read your excellent report... for your next trip I just might fit you up with a Go Pro camera... with a link to my iPhone and computer.
Thank you very much again.
Chet
