Steve,

What a great trip and trip report. Your pace seems about perfect to see and do what is important to you and Sally.

I went to Cortina in the Dolomites to ski one weekend while in the military several decades ago. All I can remember is so so skiing and a long row of women in full length fur coats and sunglasses all lying on chaise lounges and sunning their faces on the lodge deck.

Now I know there is so much more.
