haha, that's not a "missile base" it's a contracted launch site known as Kodiak Launch Complex. So I am guessing the beach that you were at might have been Fossil Beach, which is at the "end of the road", but it might have been over by the "hotel" for the Launch Complex, which they have since blocked off access to. It's nice to meet someone that has actually been to Kodiak. As I tell everyone, Kodiak is not a "drop-in" spot, but a "Destination"!
