We had the dealer add a spray in bedliner to our truck. They used Line X and the company did a really nice job. But it is too slick. We also have the fifth wheel prep package and the pucks that hide the holes in the bed are very vulnerable to getting kicked out if things slide around.
We have rubber padding on both sides of the spacer we use to raise the camper a few inches over the bed so we didn't think we needed a pad. but because of the slickness and the pucks we got it a 1/4 inch 4x8 pad and when we use the goose neck we just roll it up and leave it in the bed. Real easy for one person to handle.
And yeah we think a new truck deserves a new pad of it's very own.
