truck camper 101

Been a fifth wheel owner for about 8 years, but DW is not interested in doing anymore camping (she never was hot on the idea anyway) so I'm looking to downsize a bunch and want to learn all the ins and outs of truck camping. While I am not a camping newbie, I would be a Truck Camper newbie so I'm looking for info to help me with my decision. I presently have a 2007 GMC 4x4, SRW diesel, 2500 that would be my initial TC vehicle, but I would probably upgrade to a newer model soon.

Just looking for info to keep from making a bad decision. Presently, I mostly just use my fiver for a hunting camp which is mostly what I would probably do with a TC.
