When we had this rig (read.....should have NEVER got rid of it), 97 12v mechanical, CTD turned up to 375hp with a Garret torque turbo, NV4500 manual trans, 3.55 Dana 80, averaged 18-21 mpg empty. With the AF1140 on her back she was at 11,600lbs and averaged 12-14 mpg at around 65 mph.
That was before low sulfur diesel fuel, it wasn't the same truck on that ls garbage.
