Truck Camper Solenoid Question
Today I wired up a 100 amp solenoid from the truck batteries to the house batteries in the truck camper. The ground is completed in the truck camper batteries by the tail light plug. The solenoid works well, and cuts power when the engine is off.
1. Is this an adequate ground for the high flow amps that are running back to the camper batteries?
2. When the truck is off, the solenoid shuts down, and I'm assuming that even though the camper is still plugged into the tail lights, that that circuit is also closed when the truck is off?
I just want to make sure I'm not missing some circuit that may be connecting the camper/truck batteries that I'm overlooking.
Thanks in advance.
