Anyone that has gone there lately ,will campgrounds be open? Or are there walmarts or cracker barrels within an hour,looking for overnight suggestions for this late in the season thanks. Taking a trip this week. Two weeks ago went to Lake Ontario and Oneida scouting next season boat slips,wanted to visit thousand islands,but C.Gs were closed. I guess you can stay on lot at TCW.

Bill (owner of TCW) has a couple camp sites for customers right in his parking lot, but call first to make sure there is room

We were there about 10 days ago and Bill said the 4 sites are for customers taking delivery of a camper. He did graciously offer to allow us to park overnight in a cul-de-sac just below his business.

D&H RV Center in Apex, NC also sells the Eagle Cap and Host truck campers. I have not heard any feedback about this dealer, so I cannot tell you if it is worth the trip south. At least you would be able to see both makes side by side and do a better comparison.http://www.dhrvcenter.com/

There are NH 2 state parks in the area we stayed at: Mt. Ascutney State Park (not really impressed) just north and Ft Dummer (much nicer and renovated) really close. There are a few more that are within a reasonable drive.Season is over though.

I was there a couple weeks ago. Sites were full but Bill told me to park by the building and plug in. There was another TC doing the same thing. Most of the sites were taken by people getting new TC.

I seem to recall seeing a sign in this keene walmart parking lot about no overnight parking.

Both of these State Parks are in Vermont. Vermont state parks tend to be a little rustic and lack the creature comforts "needed" by large RVs. They are fairly quiet and good for a pleasant stay for self-equipped RVs.

There are Walmarts in both Brattleboro VT. and Keene NH , one west and one east of TCW about 10 or 20 min.. If all else fails the Vermont Welcome center just south of Brattleboro is open 24hrs . It is on the north bound lane of I-91 so you would have to go an extra exit south and do a U-turn .

There is a KOA back in Vermont probably not 10 miles away look them up , it is the Brattleboro KOA there is also a private campground near there also just back over the bridge into Vermont and a bit north . Not sure what the season is for either campground and I don't think they are open all year .

X2 Preety sure there are 4 full hookup sites at Truck camper warehouse.
