The bump-out for the bathroom kills it for me and my TC too. Sure you could get out the chop saw and hack a corner out of the bed but it's a lot of work.
Not to mention, even at 1000lbs, it's eating away at your already limited payload capacity.
I bet that with a camper on, CHP would never even notice the utility bed unless you pointed it out to them. From any distance at all, at 55MPH, it would look like an Earthroamer or even a Class C to the untrained eye.
