Agree on a 3/4 ton as well. But be wary of using advertised payload capacity or what's on the door pillar sticker. If you add factory options, you can lose quite a bit of payload capacity. You have a crew cab now which adds weight. 4WD and long box add a lot. Add a canopy and there goes another 200lbs or so. We lost about 800 lbs off the sticker amount. You'll also get other features on a 3/4 ton also like bigger/better brakes.
Never go by what a salesman or anyone else says when they say "yeah, you'll have no problem at all towing that." Get the actual payload capacity of the TV and actual gross TT weight and tongue weight, and then make informed decisions.
