Truck mounted air compressor

I plan to install air bags. I also plan to install a pump kit for remote adjustment. Would it be wise to consider adding a system that allows filling the truck tires or trailer tires as well? Or just get a separate system for filling tires?
  • Its a 2019 F450 Crew Cab. I believe it already has an exhaust break.

I have already purchased the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate+ air bags. Just need to decide on a system for airing it and providing a supply for tires. Hopefully a quiet one.
  • What kind of truck? If you're installing an exhaust brake, you might be able to kill two birds with one stone.
  • Get the kit with the air tank. It comes with a coil air hose for filling things outside of the truck. I didn't do that but had times I could have used the reserve air in the tank.
  • I don't see the need for 2 systems. If you want one big enough to fill tires it will easily handle inflating your airbags. I would just get the gauge kit for the bags and let the air supply be your big tank.
  • Yah, I was going with the Hellwig Air bags and I 'Think' they have a compressor too.
I had one, Firestone Bags and compressor and it worked well. Noisy as heck to got a Manual switch to shut if off for those early morning departures, to spare the neighbors the noise..

I 'Believe?' it's a kit as they need the compressor part for the Airbags, just need a holding tank for the tires etc which I think is needed. I have keep some 90 lbs in mine and most gas stations don't go that high... so it's a necessity for the most part..
    Hope that helps...

Depending on truck, it might be a close install... not enough room or something like that..
