Some people will say the 7.3 is the best Power Stroke. Lighter and simpler than even the 6.7 made by Ford. Yeah, every diesel since ‘94 has been a PSD in spite of them not being built by Ford. :). Look it up or just look at the side of the Ford trucks.
Anyway, as long as you have high rated tires at 3700 or so, I think you are good. Will it be an awesome hauler? No. But, it should be ok for light use. Tongue weight + TC weight is the limiting factor when towing for most trucks.
