Truck Shock Absorbers

I have just purchased a 2013 Wolf Creek 850 camper with the Fox Landing step and need to replace the original shock absorbers (200000 kms) I did a search and got nothing. I know I read that for my 2005 Chevy 2500 HD short box, extended cab, with the Duramax/Allison that I was better to go with the Bilstein 4600's rather than the 5100's. Then there are the Ranch 9000's.
I would appreciate any help I can get as this is where I get all the good info. Thanks, Rick

    X2..
The advantage the Rancho 9000's have is the user-adjustable valving. Crank the knob to 9 with the TC on your truck for a firm controlled ride, back to 1 when empty for a smooth comfortable ride.

I leave the fronts between 1 and 4, and the rears all the way from 1 to 10.
  • Bilsteins work well on my 3500 Chevy dually. I carry a very heavy TC and the ride is great

  • I bought mine Bilstein 4600 through 4 Wheel Parts, they will ship. 4600s are for stock suspenion (non raised) trucks and are better than the stock shocks.

I've had no issue with the Bilstiens on my 2007 f250/6.0PSD carrying a Lance 815.
