Our travel trailer has a max weight of 7600#. So it seems only the 3 big trucks in the 2500/250 series will cut it. Or maybe something else? My question is, if we are wanting to only spend around $20...

Thanks for the info that keeps a comin'. I'm going to make up a diary of your suggestions and study them enough so that I am hopefully one step ahead of the car yard salesman. It's particularly handy knowing what the dud models or running gear was for each year. As we have the same problem here in Oz. It's usually the first model of a new era or car shape that is a dud.
