Either the CAT scale was off, or my bride managed to do something I didn't think was possible in this trailer, and blew right through GVWR.
I'll get my truck weighed in a couple of weeks, but wow! According to the calculator, pin wt is 3820, trailer axles 11,940.
Good thing I put in IS 7k axles!
Pin wt is a huge surprise. I'm running through my head what was added to the trailer in front of the axles, and for the life of me not getting it. I need to find the factory sticker, as I believe it's actual weight. Worst part of the whole thing, I can carry 258 gallons, but only had 30 gallons on board when it was weighed.
So you think the 5er weighs 15,760# with a 3,820# pin is 24%, that while in range is a bit heavy.
Have you taken into account what you have added to your TV before setting the 5er on the hitch?
Our 2016 Ram 3500 CTD DRW, scales 10,000# having used 1,411# of our 5,411# payload.
