She has no interest in the Transverse. So far the Highlander seems to have the best bang for the buck and the most safety features available among all of them. The 4 Runner is nice, but with it having fuel mileage comparable to my F-150 with a 5.0 and a 3rd row seat in name only, it probably won't be the vehicle that would best suit our needs at this time.
The Durango has an actual usable 3rd row seat like the Highlander, at least for a few more years till my son gets older, but the longevity/dependability/reliability are still the wildcard on this one. I know a lot of this is factored by how well it is maintained and we keep our vehicles 10+ years so we generally try to keep on top of things, but are there any weaknesses or inherit design flaws in the Durango that would be good to know at this point?....or I guess any for any of them as well?
Gonna call insurance tomorrow to see if there is a significant difference between any of the models to see if that will be part of the purchase equation.
