TT interior decor

Not sure if this has been posted before, DW and I are at a COE right now. We got into a discussion about how people made their TT more homey with assorted decor. Does anyone want to share pics or details of their interior decor? DW would really love to see and hear about them. We've added pillows for color and a couple of low bar stools to use around our center island. Was thinking of doing a tile backsplash but DW really likes the border paper that we have. Thanks for any input you can give.
  • Hanging pictures seems difficult on RV walls, but wall decals could work maybe.
  • My wife picked a camper where she looked the decor so we have not done anything. We did add a new comforter this year when we bought a new mattress but that is it. We are not in the trailer that much so it is great the way it came.
  • We have not done much on our last two campers, both toy haulers. They were more utility than anything else. We have done a few things on the new one, mostly convenience items like coat hooks, rakes for glasses, etc. No pictures yet on the new one.
  • I cut the dinette bench in half to allow a standard table chair. the other half hid the pump. The opposite bench hides the furnace.

We made a cutting board top for half the sink so the other half could be used with more counter top space.

We hung a full length mirror from the bathroom door and another from the wall opposite the TV so the folks sitting in front of the TV could see also.

Added various quilts and comforters. Overall we liked the interior so there was not much reason to change.
  • Campers have very little free wall space so hanging pictures and such is problematical. Counter space is typically even more limited so displaying things there is not practical. I can think of only two things we have done that might be considered "decorating" One - we found a large melamine serving tray with a picture that had the same colors as the camper's interior. We propped it up on the little cornice above one of the windows. There it serves as a piece or art, but it is used almost every day as a serving tray. The other thing is a very small cast (plaster of paris I think) bear's head souvenir that my Dad brought home from a business trip when I was a small boy. Miraculously it has somehow survived. We hung it from the woodwork above the slide. Most people probably don't even notice it, but i'm a little sentimental about it and I'm glad to still have it.

  • I travel in a bunkhouse. I bet the Missus doesn't care to see that.
  • try posting in dyi mods and upgrades forum, might get better results.
